Sugar scrubs are a perfect way to pamper yourself. And because we all love do it yourself beauty products, this time we’re making our very own lip scrubs.

This recipe boils down to two components: The sugar helps exfoliate your lips and will slough off any dead or dry skin.  Exfoliation will promote new, healthy cells and remove the old ones. This will leave you with soft, kissable lips that feel fantastic.

Get lush lips with this simple sugar lip scrub.  It takes only a couple minutes to make.

Take a minute and make your lips softer than ever with this easy sugar scrub recipe!

  • 1/2 cup sugar: Sugar naturally draws moisture to your skin and keeps skin hydrated. It is also a natural exfoliant that permeates the cells, giving you fresher and younger-looking skin.
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil (or coconut or almond oil)
  • 7 drops peppermint extract: It smells amazing, and mint is known for its calming properties and as a headache remedy.
  • 1/2 lemon zest: Lemons are rich in vitamin C and can boost collagen in skin, making the skin brighter. Lemons help remove dead skin cells and dried skin. (Note: If making this scrub exclusively for chapped lips, skip the lemon! If making it for your body, lemon is an invigorating ingredient.)

Simply mix all the ingredients in a small container, seal it, and store in the refrigerator. Use this scrub twice each week for the best results. You can also try this recipe with other scents: Lavender, orange, or eucalyptus essential oils are all good choices. Your lips will thank you!
